What are we going to do?
In this article, we will show you how to set attributes in checkout. Within Spont, attributes are additional options that can be added to a product when ordered. Common examples are: extra sauce, oat milk or to go.
There may be additional costs associated with an attribute but this is not necessary.
Difference Between a Switch and a List Attribute
Switch:A switch attribute can be seen as a plus. For example Chocolate milk with as switch; whipped cream. You can also indicate an additional fee here.
List:We use a list attribute if multiple options are possible. For example sizes; Large, medium and small. A separate added value can also be linked to this per option.
How to create attributes
- Navigate through the dark bar to "products"
- Then go to attributes.
- Press the grey plus at the top right to add a new attribute.
The first option is a switch, as explained earlier. The price you give here is added to the selling price of the product.
The second option is a list. If you indicate "option is mandatory" then the customer must make a choice between one of the options.
If you indicate "use multiple options" then it is possible for the customer to add multiple options to the product at once.
Set a minimum and maximum number of attributes
Suppose you want to set that a minimum or maximum number of additions can be chosen, for example a max of 3 toppings on an ice cream. This can be done through attributes.
Select a list attribute and set the "use multiple options" button to active.
You can then set how many attributes the customer can select at least and maximum.
